I want to buy at least 9 gig internal more for my 400hz G3. I want to know what drives are compatable. I guess I want to stay with the Ultra 2 scsi but are HD's all cross compatable between PC's and Macs.
Also what is recommended for editing, it just seems that HD's sold in PC mags are cheaper than MAC equivelent.

There is no problem, usually, using any modern SCSI drive on a Mac, in terms of whether it is a Win-PC or Mac-PC drive.
The only hiccup is whether the SCSI tools you have which may only be basic ones (and Apple's own disk utilities program), will let you set up the drive properely,
It's common, when you buy a SCSI drive from a Mac dealer that you also buy (or have included in the price), the required utitilities.
Nonetheless, if you buy from a dealer who offers a money-back guarantee (such as Simply Computers - http://www.simply.co.uk),
then you've not got anything to lose by buying from a Win-PC dealer and getting better pricing.
Worldspan - http://www.span.com - an advertising in Computer Video, is a little cheaper than Simply, usually, but I'm not sure if they offer the same sort of satisfaction guarantee - which is 14-days, no-quibble, in Simply's case.
