I have some engineering bits and pieces from fist size to 2 foot across.

I am going to suspend them against black background and light them for a few arty video shots.

Weight varies from <500g to 1 or 2 kg.

My question is, should I use fishing line - if so, is there a particular type that's not coloured and won't be too noticable in the lights, or some sort of black twine.

I've used black cotton in the past for light items, which worked ok, but not up to date on what fine twines are available, that's thin and not stranded ( so not twine I guess) - maybe I should take a walk around Dunelm mill.

..or piano wire?? never used it but recall it's sometimes used for diy jobs.
