Normally I upload 720 HD clips to Vimeo that are ballpark 5 mins long and weigh in at +/- 300Megs after compression.
However a colleague of mine wants to put a 30 min clip onto Vimeo and end up with an even smaller file size, I'm reading approx 200 Megs from her comments.
This is unchartered territory for me and I don't have the time to experiment on her behalf.
So can one of you kind souls provide some settings for Compressor that will get her in the ball park?
I know her original footage was AVCHD (shot on NX5) converted to Pro-Res inside FCP. So that's what she'll have on her timeline.
Many thanks in advance.
H264 (MP4) 1280x720p at 1.5mbs should be OK and a good balance of file size against quality i.e apple computer
You could drop it down further to 1mbs if you are still struggling with file size!
Thanks Gary, just what I/she needed!

If you can push it 5mbs is even better but the file may be too big.
As I am in the middle of the countryside I only have 500k broadband so use 1280x720 at 1.5mbs for upload and you can see the quality here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoU1ghlp7Q8
Sorry about the content but what can you do with a boring financial advisor?:D
And yes he is mine!!!!!!
Thanks Gary, the YouTube quality looks more than acceptable and I've passed on your settings to my colleague. Thanks for being a good soul.
