I MANAGED TO HAVE MY AVMASTER WORKS WITH WIN2k AND XP, BUT I HAVE THIS PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!

WHEN I AM CLOSING A VIDEO APPLICATION LIKE PREMIERE, DIGITAL FUSION etc, my system restarts all in the sudden.

THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN WHEN IN A PROFILE AVMASTER IS NOT ENABLED.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME THAT HAD THIS PROBLEM??????}
ANY IDEA?????????

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

I READ AN ARTICLE THAT SAID THAT I HAVE TO ERASE SOME REGISTRY KEYS FROM DIRECTX DIRECTSOUND.

I DID IT BUT THEY APPEAR AGAIN WHEN I RESTART MY COMPUTER. WHICH - KEYS EXACTLY SHOULD I ERASE?

I dont know how to help with your problem but if you have the AVM working with XP you seem to have acheived the impossible!!!

Could you post here and let people know how you did this as I am sure there are many out there who would like to know!

Did you use the winNT driver with xp?

OK. Well guys, hallo from greece.
THIS IS HOW I DID IT WITH XP.
I installed XP when xp asked for the drivers for unknown multimedia device (that is AV MASTER), i cancelled it.
2. Disabled the USB port that shared the IRQ with my AVM.
3. Installed the winnt 2.5 drivers and when the system asked for restarting, i did not RESTART!!!, but... I opened the device manager and installed the drivers for that unknown multimedia device (that is AV MASTER), ...:\program files\FAST\.....\drv , THE SAME PROCEDURE AS WITH WIN2K. AFTER then i restarted the system, and everything works perfect... except, when i close a video program like premiere, msp, etc (BLUE SCREEN). BUT!!! i capture and playback video files perfectly!!!!!

- So, when i am editing, i do the following procedure... (I open device manager, from view i check show hidden devices, and then you can find some new devices in a new category there you can find avmdrv32 or FAST AV MASTER ((NOT !!! UNDER SOUND AND MULTIMEDIA DEVICES CATEGORY)) there you can start or stop the avmdrv32 service in will, when stopped, i do editing. When i start it, i do capturing and playback.

- i just want to avoid the previous start - stop think.

HALLO FROM GREECE GUYS GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
I installed xp many times and every time the procedure works fine!!!!!!

Hi
I`ve tried your way & I cannot get it to work. When I direct the instal wizard to the Fast/...../Drv folder & click.
The wizard reports that it is unable to install the software.
The Drv folder contains the `oemsetup.info` file which should be the one windows uses to setup the AVmaster.
mine contains the following:-

[Source Media Descriptions]
1 = "AV Master for Windows NT"

[Installable.Drivers]
;avmall = 1:avmdrv32.dll, "AVMNT", "FAST AV Master ALL" , , ,
avmkrnl = 1:avmdrv32.dll, "AVMaster", "FAST AV Master Kernel Driver" , , ,
avmcdc = 1:avmcdc32.drv, "VIDC.MJPG", "FAST AV Master CoDec" , , ,
avmdrw = 1:avmdrw32.drv, "VIDS.MJPG", "FAST AV Master Draw Driver" , , ,
avmcap = 1:avmcap32.dll, "MSVIDEO", "FAST AV Master Capture Driver" , , ,
avmwav = 1:avmwav32.drv, "WAVE,MIXER", "FAST AV Master Wave/Mixer Driver" , , ,

[avmkrnl]
1:avmdrv32.sys

[avmcdc]
1:avmjpg32.dll

[avmdrw]
1:avmovl32.dll

[avmcap]
1:avmdlg32.dll
1:avmovl32.dll

How does that compare with yours?
Has anyonelse managed to get their AVMaster running on Win XP?

I have also troubles to get my AVM working under Win2K. I load this "FAST AV Master Kernel Driver" as first, but it reports me that thare is no AV Master installed in the system...? Please could anyone who succeded with installation under Win2k send a more detailed step by step description with loading drivers. I am curious what I do wrong.
