Does anyone know where I can get a cold shoe to screw into the threaded hole at the front of the Sony Z1.
Thanks

somewhere like keene/hague or even Maplin?
you might need to be creative about the thread size
do you know what it is?

That's what I'm looking for Dave, I'm looking for a method to allow mounting a radio mic rx and, a video light.
Thanks for taking the time.

you might find that lot makes the camera top heavy.

I use a big bit of velcro to hole the RX on the back of the camera

Yea, I think you're right Dave but, there is nowhere at the back of the Z1 to fit anything without hampering operation so am looking for a combination of brackets to do the job.

I have a Velcro strip on each battery Pete.
Just Velcro the RX pouch to that. ( Sometimes also use it as a 'shot card' holder. Remember them?)

Pete - Does this mean you don't have the cold shoe that came as part of the Z1 package?

I'm pretty sure Manfrotto (or is it Rycote) sell a 'T' bar. It locks down into your Z1's existing cold shoe and ends up offering you two cold shoes left and right of centre.

Hi Tom,
That's correct, looking for the cold shoe that inserts into the threaded hole and, a T bar.

Hi Pete son't know if you've got one but I'm just about to order from these guys (had to e-mail them) £53 + VAT
