Hi!
Further to my previous posting "Total Training" below.
I have today received my upgrade to Adobe Production Suite Premium, and along with all the software programs, came a DVD "Video Workshop". The suprise for me was that instead of instructional videos by Total Training, the new instructional Videos are by Lynda.
I wonder if this means that Adobe and T/T have fallen out, or do Adobe now rate Lynda as better than T/T? Or could it be that Lynda provided a better deal for Adobe?
Whatever the reason the DVD is very interesting, providing some good instructions on some of the new features of CS3. I would be interested to hear comments from anyone else receiving their package, as to whether they think the new DVD is an improvement or not.
Regards Mike

I got upgrades last week and did like the video, what I foudn was it was a good basic intro but lacking in much detail, it really just like the old ones a teaser to get you to buy training. Lynda has come on quite a long way but I still feel the detail and effort put in by total training makes their stuff stand out.
What did you think to the box? It seems the trend now to ship smaller packaging - final cut studio 2, adobe stuff all smaller than the last versions. I know its no difference to the products but it helps me mentally deal with purchase prices when you see nice big boxes for your thousands of pounds (I've just got production and master collections and two platforms)
In terms of why Lynda and not Total Training word on the ground is they went for what was offered free where as TT would charge for this stuff, also suspect that as TT used to be almost completely Adobe only and now have lost of microsoft stuff that may be an issue as Adobe and MS are lsquaring up for the mother of all battles on a few fronts now.

Fogot to say the best thing about the training, what fantastic navigation - a really neat idea (I will be ripping off as soon as I can reverse engineer the file)

Hi Nick!
Yes I enjoyed the videos, and like you say althought Lynda has come a long way its not quite to the T/T stuff. My thoughts were that T/T still havent got traing for Premier CS3 where-as Lynda have, maybe thats the reason.
I have also taken a period of traing with Lynda, and they do have comprehensive list of training available. (In fact evry one of their training DVDs are available.
