I am saddled with an Asus A7A266 board and am looking to replace it to get compatibility with my DV500+.
I notice that ASUS do an A7N266 series with the GeForce 2 graphics and was wondering if this was compatible. It's not on Pinnacles list but wondered if anybody had tried any.

Will the Geforce card out perfom my Matrox G400 32Mb by a great degree for video editing or should I go for an A7V266 or A7M266 ?

Other things I use are:

Pioneer A03
Creative SB 128
Adaptec 2940UW SCSI
Ricoh MP7060S CD/RW
Athlon XP1800

I've been doing a little digging and I have come up with 3 possible choices:

MSI K7T266 Pro 2U (Favourite at the moment)
ASUS A7V266-E
Abit KR7A-133

The ASUS is the only one on the compatibility list but the MSI and ABIT mobos offer more. USB 2 on the MSI and ATA-133 on the ABIT.

Anybody have any thoughts or recommendations ?

I had the same problem. Bought the A7A266 without checking first.
Got my DV500 from Smart DV who also suggested the A7M266. It worked first time, and I have had no problems in the last four months. Go for it.
